Due to the hot and dry weather and the fire season, Head of Headquarters of MES of Russia on the Republic of Tatarstan, Minister of Civil Defense and Emergency Situations on RT, Rafis Habibullin, offered to bring in a state of emergency in the republic from June 7, 2014 and until further notice, and also to bring in a special fire-prevention regime from June 7 until July 1, 2014. He said this today at the republican meeting in Government House of RT.

The main culprit of forest fires is a person - his carelessness when using fire in a forest during work and leisure. Most fires are a result of agricultural burnings, burning trash, places of picnics, mushroom and berries gathering, hunting, throwing a burning match, unquenched cigarette. After a shot of a gun by a hunter, shot out wad begins to smolder, burning dry grass. Often you can see how a forest is littered with bottles and glass fragments. In sunny weather, these fragments focus sunrays like a magnifying lens. A bonfire that was not completely extinguished in the forest causes subsequent large disasters.

An interesting excursion in the fire department, seeing modern fire techniques, rescuers work demonstration and much more interesting things – all of these were embraced in one day by Nizhneaktaminskaya secondary school children, when they visited firefighters of FD-65 OFPS-11 on RT.

The time of school children summer holiday has come. It is determined that children often show interest in fire exactly when they cannot find another occupation, or when adults are not interested in their games. So, it is appositely that junior grade pupils of Aktyubinskaya secondary school №2 of  Aznakayevsk municipal district of the Republic of Tatarstan having a holiday at school camp arrived for an excursion to separate post of Aktyubinskiy locality of Almetyevskiy fire department of the Republic of Tatarstan to recollect fire safety rules one more time.

Incidents for June, 5:

Fire departments of Federal fire service of Headquarters of MES of Russia on RT went on alert 224 times: burning garbage extinguishing – 39, dry grass extinguishing – 34. Firefighters of the republic eliminated – 11 fires, 3 of them in the residential sector.

The causes of fires are: violation of fire safety rules during furnace use – 4, violation of fire safety rules during electrical equipment use – 4, careless handling of fire – 1, carelessness when smoking – 2.

Missions of fire departments on rescuing at the elimination of the consequences of traffic accidents - 16 times. 5 persons were rescued. 

Missions of voluntary fire protection units on fire fighting – 6 times.

Missions of search and rescue units of MES of RT – 7 times. Including: door unblocking – 2, traffic accident – 1, search and rescue operation on water – 2, preventive raid – 1, others – 1.

Incidents for June, 4:

Fire departments of Federal fire service of Headquarters of MES of Russia on RT went on alert 194 times: burning garbage extinguishing – 33, dry grass extinguishing – 17, poplar fluff extinguishing – 3. Firefighters of the republic eliminated – 8 fires, 2 of them in the residential sector. 4 persons were rescued.

The causes of fires are: careless handling of fire – 2, violation of electrical equipment use rules – 1, violation of electrical equipment installation rules – 1, ascertain – 4.

Missions of fire departments on rescuing at the elimination of the consequences of traffic accidents - 22 times. 5 persons were rescued. 

Missions of voluntary fire protection units on fire fighting – 2 times.

Missions of search and rescue units of MES of RT – 8 times. Including: traffic accident – 1, others – 7.

9 fires have taken place in the republic since June 1, 2014 caused by fire jumping from poplar fluff. The largest fire occurred on June, 2 at Esperanto Str. The fire area was 60m2. As a rule, poplar fluff ignites very easily, it burns like gunpowder at all directions leaving black marks behind. A fire from burning fluff can easily jump onto residential buildings.
