Head of Headquarters of MES of Russia on RT, Rafis Habibullin: prolonged heat and lack of rainfall in republic causes anxiety about fire situation

Due to the hot and dry weather and the fire season, Head of Headquarters of MES of Russia on the Republic of Tatarstan, Minister of Civil Defense and Emergency Situations on RT, Rafis Habibullin, offered to bring in a state of emergency in the republic from June 7, 2014 and until further notice, and also to bring in a special fire-prevention regime from June 7 until July 1, 2014. He said this today at the republican meeting in Government House of RT.

Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov held a video conference with all the municipal districts.

Rustam Minnikhanov at the meeting noted that today we need to take the same measures as in the period of drought in the republic in 2010. He also reminded that fires recorded in many regions of the country, the situation due to drought and the fire season is very difficult.
