Fire departments of Federal Fire Service of Headquarters of EMERCOM of Russia on the Republic of Tatarstan went on alert 82 times. Including burning garbage extinguishing – 4. Firefighters of the republic eliminated – 10 fires, 3 of them in the residential sector. 1 person was saved.

Causes are: violation of electrical equipment technical use rules – 4, carelessness when smoking – 1, violation of fire safety rules during electrical equipment use – 1, violation of electrical equipment installation rules – 1, wrong installation and defect in heating furnace and chimney – 1, arson – 2.

Missions of fire departments on rescuing at the elimination of the consequences of traffic accidents – 41 times. 5 persons were saved.

Missions of voluntary fire protection units on fire fighting – 3.

Missions of search and rescue units of EMERCOM of RT – 14 times. Including: door unblocking – 4, traffic accident – 5, preventive talk with fishermen – 1, others – 4.

Workers of the separate post for protection of Yelantovo village of Nizhnekamsk squad of fire service of the Republic of Tatarstan held meeting with children of the secondary school and the kindergarten “Solnyshko” of Yelantovo village of Nizhnekamsk Municipal District. Children and pupils were told about the profession of a rescuer in a simple form. They were pleased with the meetings. We hope that some of those children will connect their further adult life with rescuing and firefighting.

Today, measures of population safety in the period of preparation and celebration of New Year were discussed at All-Russian conference. Head of EMERCOM of Russia, Vladimir Puchkov in his speech emphasized the systematic and complex conducting of activities aimed at the safety of people’s lives and health and ensuring quick help if it is needed.

Volleyball competitions of the squad’s fire departments teams have been held in the gym of OFPS-1 for RT in Nizhnekamsk for more than a month. The competitions were attended by 13 teams of each department and the combined team of the squad which competed outside the contest.
