Local Warning Systems Must Be Installed at All Potentially Hazardous Objects of 1-2 Classes in the Republic by 2016

That was told listeners of the seminar dedicated to clarifying questions during inspections of EMERCOM of Russia’s bodies in the field of civil defense, people and territory protection from emergency situations, by Deputy Minister of Civil Defense and Emergency Situations, Oleg Stepuschenko. 60 chief engineers and responsible people for industrial safety at potentially hazardous objects attended the thematic seminar in Kazan. Publishing House “Alpha” together with the magazine “Industrial and environmental safety, labor protection” supported by the Headquarters of EMERCOM of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan and EMERCOM of Tatarstan stepped forward as the initiators.

In his report Oleg Stepuschenko said that by that moment there were just fifteen potentially hazardous objects equipped by local warning systems. At the same time it is important to integrate them with single duty dispatch services of municipal districts. Also, Deputy Minister underlined that there was reached an agreement with the network operators “MTS” and “Beeline” about the population warning about an emergency situation via SMS distribution.
