Preventive work of rescuers during the flood
Flood control measures aimed at minimizing damage from spring meltwater are actively carried out in Kazan. Every day rescuers of the Kazan zonal search and rescue squad no.2 Search and Rescue services of the Republic of Tatarstan under the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Tatarstan travel around the city areas of possible flooding and conduct explanatory conversations with residents of these settlements and distribute memos with rules of conduct in case of flooding of residential buildings.
If rescuers do not find residents at home when bypassing the residential sector, they leave thematic memos in mailboxes, so that the coverage of the population is one hundred percent.
Kazan rescuers will continue such preventive work in order to minimize the negative consequences of the flood in the capital of the republic.
