Supervisory activities and preventive work management of the Headquarters of EMERCOM of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan informs that cases of fires at the facilities of the economy with the loss of life became more frequent. Fires take place in construction trailers, workmen's shelters and guard booths. Unfortunately, 6 people died in 5 fires for the period of October-December.

Incidents as of December 11:

Fire departments of Federal Fire Service of Headquarters of EMERCOM of Russia on the Republic of Tatarstan went on alert 77 times. Including burning garbage extinguishing – 4. Firefighters of the republic eliminated – 4 fires, 2 of them in the residential sector. 1 person was saved.

Causes are: violation of electrical equipment installation rules – 1, carelessness when smoking – 1, violation of fire safety rules during furnace use – 1, wrong installation and defect in heating furnace and chimney – 1.

Missions of fire departments on rescuing at the elimination of the consequences of traffic accidents – 19 times. 2 people were saved.

Missions of voluntary fire protection units on fire fighting – 3.

Missions of search and rescue units of EMERCOM of RT – 12 times. Including: door unblocking – 1, traffic accident – 2, preventive raid at mass gathering places of fishermen – 1, others – 8.

Today, there has been held a meeting in Naberezhnye Chelny at the eternal flame dedicated to the memory of the fallen in war operations in Chechen Republic. The solemn event was attended by employees and veterans of fire protection that participated in the war, as well as by cadets of the “Firefighter-rescuer” corps of the cadet school number 47.

The first ice passage in the republic that connects the city of Zelenodolsk and the settlement of Lower Viazovye of Zelenodolsky District has been opened, today. The ice passage has helped motorists in winter seasons for ten years, and allows them to shorten the distance between Zelenodolsk and Lower Viazovye to 75 km.

Causes are: ascertain – 2, wrong installation and defect in heating furnace and chimney – 2, violation of fire safety rules during works with fire – 1, violation of electrical equipment technical use rules – 1.

Missions of fire departments on rescuing at the elimination of the consequences of traffic accidents – 15 times. 4 people were saved.

Missions of voluntary fire protection units on fire fighting – 2.

Missions of search and rescue units of EMERCOM of RT – 7 times. Including: door unblocking – 1, traffic accident – 3, preventive talk with fishermen – 2, others – 1.

Heads of municipal districts and municipalities of Tatarstan were the participants of a seminar dedicated to issues of implementation of primary measures of fire safety in the territory of the Republic of Tatarstan that was held in Crisis Management Center of the Headquarters of EMERCOM of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan.

Fines for violation of fire legislation on the territory of the Republic of Tatarstan during the period of special fire prevention regime will be increased. According to the decree number 965 of Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan of December 9, 2014, in order to provide fire safety at New Year celebration activities from December 15, 2014 till January 10, 2015, there will be introduced the special fire prevention regime in the republic.
