The First Ice Passage Across the Volga in the Republic Began Operating in Zelenodolsky District

The first ice passage in the republic that connects the city of Zelenodolsk and the settlement of Lower Viazovye of Zelenodolsky District has been opened, today. The ice passage has helped motorists in winter seasons for ten years, and allows them to shorten the distance between Zelenodolsk and Lower Viazovye to 75 km.

Firstly, GIMS inspectors conducted a technical examination of the ice passage, checked all the standard technical documentation, and only then they gave the nod to the official operation of the passage. In consultation with the Executive Committee of Zelenodolsk Municipal District, the maintenance and upkeep of the ice road were undertaken by individual entrepreneur Minullin.

The ice track length of 1300 meters is two-sided. The width of a single lane is 20 meters. The fare for cars is planned to be 100 rubles.
