By the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation, December 27 was announced as the Rescuer’s Day of Russia. On the eve of the holiday, the Chief of the Headquarters of EMERCOM of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan – Minister of civil Defense and Emergency Situations of the Republic of Tatarstan, lieutenant-general of internal service Rafis Z. Khabibullin addressed to his colleagues.

Today, the solemn event dedicated to taking the oath by cadets of two new specialties – 280707 “Protection in Emergencies” and 280703 “Fire safety” – took place in Tetyushsky Pedagogical College. The memorable event was attended by Head of Tetyushsky Municipal District, Ramis H. Safiullov, Deputy Minister of Civil Defense and Emergency Situations of the Republic of Tatarstan, Nikolay V. Surzhko, Deputy Head of the Headquarters of EMERCOM of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan (by State Fire Service), colonel of internal service, Rafail N. Motygullin, pedagogical collective, parents and friends of the first group of cadets.

By the joint forces of rescuers of Kazan Search and Rescue Squad, Zonal Search and Rescue Squad number 2 attached to EMERCOM of the Republic of Tatarstan and Department of Civil Protection of the Executive Committee of Kazan piling the rubble, in order to find the second victim on the place of the destroyed brick building in the size of 5х20 meters on the territory of the “Tekhgazservis” enterprise in Kazan, where was an oxygen cylinder explosion, continues.

From December 17 till 19, juniors of fire applied sports of EMERCOM of Russia competed for the title of the strongest on treadmills of the sports and recreation complex SPb UGPS EMERCOM of Russia in Saint Petersburg.

Today, an oxygen cylinder has exploded in Kazan, Obnorskogo Street, 69 on the territory of “Tekhgazservis” and the wall of a single-storey building was partially collapsed.

Incidents as of December 23:

Fire departments of Federal Fire Service of Headquarters of EMERCOM of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan went on alert 78 times. Including burning garbage extinguishing – 4. Firefighters of the republic eliminated – 5 fires, 1 of them in the residential sector.

Causes are: violation of electrical equipment technical use rules – 1, wrong installation and defect in heating furnace and chimney – 2, defect in vehicle systems, mechanisms and components – 1, arson – 1.

Missions of fire departments on rescuing at the elimination of the consequences of traffic accidents – 20 times.

Missions of voluntary fire protection units on fire fighting – 2.

Missions of search and rescue units of EMERCOM of RT – 14 times. Including: door unblocking – 6, traffic accident – 1, preventive activity with pupils – 2, safety provision at mass gathering of fishermen – 2, others – 3.

From December 22 to 24, 2014, commission of Volga Regional Center of EMERCOM of Russia chaired by the senior specialist of detachment of organization of inspection after fire safety and preventive work provision of the department of inspection and preventive affairs of VRC of EMERCOM of Russia, major of internal service, Sergey Mizinov, conducts unscheduled (purposeful) inspection of the Headquarters of EMERCOM of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan on issues of preparation of the republic to New Year and Christmas celebration activities. In the process of the inspection there was a leaving for the territory of the Laishevsky Municipal District with the organization of the meeting with Acting Head of Executive Committee of Laishevsky District.
