Incidents as of January 13:

Fire departments of Federal Fire Service of Headquarters of EMERCOM of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan went on alert 45 times. Including burning garbage extinguishing – 2, false alarms – 16, short circuit of wiring without burning – 2, burnt meal – 1, cooperation with other services – 8. Firefighters of the republic eliminated – 11 fires, outhouses – 5, outhouses – 2, vehicles – 1, garden houses – 1. 1 person died, 1 person was injured.

In connection with a forecast about intensification of meteorological conditions on the territory of the Republic of Tatarstan, from 6:00 P.M. on January 12, 2016 until special order, forces of level readiness  of the Headquarters of EMERCOM of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan and EMERCOM of the Republic of Tatarstan intended for operative respond (including the staff and techniques of air mobile team) are operating in “Enhanced Preparedness” mode. Total of 782 people and 643 vehicle, including 92 people and 27 vehicles from EMERCOM, are involved in activities.

This decision was accepted today at an unplanned meeting of Commission on Prevention and Liquidation of Emergencies and Fire Safety Provision of the Republic of Tatarstan, which was held under the chairmanship of Aleksandr Pesoshin. Also the meeting was attended by Chief of the Headquarters of EMERCOM of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan – Minister for Civil Defense and Emergencies, Rafis Khabibullin, Main Federal Inspector for the Republic of Tatarstan, Renat Timerzyanov, and chairmen and members of commissions of okrugs and municipal districts, heads of local authorities and organizations.

On January 13 and 14, unfavorable meteorological phenomena are forecasted: frost down to -26-31 degrees and warming up to -9-14 degrees, fog on separate regions, strong snowing, wet snow, snowstorm, local ice-slicks, wind gusts up to 17-22 m/s, snow drifts on the roads.

According to Main State Inspector of the Republic of Tatarstan for Small Vessels, Yuri Venediktov, cracks appeared on the ice. It demands regulatory works on ice expansion. From 2:00 P.M. of January 12, traffic on the given passage is temporarily stopped until 10:00 A.M. of January 13.

A private wooden barn started to burn about at 8 o’clock in the evening in the village of Chutay of Baltasinsky District. There was a risk of jumping of the fire to a residential house. But the voluntary fire team “Kyzyl yul” arrived to the scene in 2 minutes already. In another 5 minutes voluntary fire team “Nuriner” came to their support. In half an hour the open fire was eliminated. The barn with the area of 280 sq. meters was totally burnt out, because it was made of boards, but the residential house was not damaged by the fire.
