Incidents as of January 11:

Fire departments of Federal Fire Service of Headquarters of EMERCOM of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan went on alert 72 times. Including burning garbage extinguishing – 1, false alarms – 29, short circuit of wiring without burning – 1, burnt meal – 3, cooperation with other services – 12. Firefighters of the republic eliminated – 5 fires, including 4 in residential sector, outhouses – 1. 2 people died.

In connection with the negative forecast, EMERCOM of the Republic of Tatarstan strongly recommends to:

- cancel all departures on private vehicle to outwards of the settlement without strong necessity: to the environment, to the forest, to fishing, etc.;

- if you saw a lonely stopped car on the route, get out, find out what is the problem, provide help the victim, report nearest GAI post;

Today, GIMS employees held a technical examination of another ice passage and give a start for the traffic on the new ice portion on the Volga. The ice road Arakchino – Verkhny Uslon became the third from five planned to be opened. Traffic on other parts of Tatarstan rivers is categorically forbidden! This passage cuts the way for drivers up to about 65 km in comparison with the main road. The ice road distance is 3 200 meters.

Firefighters of the republic eliminated – 7 fires, including 2 in residential sector, outhouses – 3. 1 person died , 1 person was injured.

Today, an unplanned meeting of Commission on Prevention and Liquidation of Emergencies and Fire Safety Provision was held in Kazan. The cause was a resonance fire that claimed the lives of six people. Deputy Chief of the Headquarters of EMERCOM of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan, Sergey Sergeev, reported on arising situation with fires on the territory of the Republic of Tatarstan and implementing fire prevention work among citizens.
