Fire departments of Federal Fire Service of Headquarters of EMERCOM of Russia on the Republic of Tatarstan went on alert 77 times. Including burning garbage extinguishing – 13, dry grass extinguishing – 3. Firefighters of the republic eliminated – 7 fires, 1 of them in the residential sector.

Causes of the fires are following: careless handling of fire – 1, carelessness when smoking – 1, violation of electrical equipment use rules – 1, arson – 1, violation of fire safety rules during gas-welding works – 1, ascertain – 2.

Causes of the fires are following: careless handling of fire by unidentified persons – 1, violation of electrical equipment installation and use rules – 1, violation of stove installation and use rules – 1, arson – 1, lightning discharge – 2, violation of fire safety rules during works with fire – 1, childish prank – 1.

Missions of fire departments on rescuing at the elimination of the consequences of traffic accidents – 25 times. 3 persons were rescued.

Missions of voluntary fire protection units on fire fighting – 10.

Missions of search and rescue units of EMERCOM of RT – 7 times. Including: door unblocking – 1, search operation on the water – 2, preventive activities at mass recreation places – 2, safety provision at high-diving competitions – 2.

Missions of fire departments on rescuing at the elimination of the consequences of traffic accidents – 24 times. 10 persons were rescued.

Today, rescuers and OSVOD workers of Kazan held a masterclass on rescuing a drowning out of the water and first aid provision for holidaymakers on “Nizhnee Zarechye” beach.

Very much depends on voluntary firefighters’ support during the liquidation of any emergency situation – salvage amount, but the main thing – people’s lives. From this point of view it is hard to overestimate not even courage and strength of volunteers, but the level of their schooling, not only the physical but the theoretical one.

Last week, firefighters of the second squad of Federal Fire Service on RT became participants of fire show. That was a large-scale tactical training of extinguishing oil fires. Trainings of such level are a rare occurrence for the republic and the country as a whole, that is why they are held once in a few years. The main difference – absolute accordance to real conditions of a fire.

There were held competitions among fire departments of the 15th FFS squad on the Republic of Tatarstan, the operates fire equipment for fire fighting in high-rise buildings in Naberezhnye Chelny for the title of "The best team among fire brigades of the Headquarters of EMERCOM of Russia on the Republic of Tatarstan".
