False Alarm

At 9:18 there was reported a smoke near the building of children’s center “Ekiyet” on 57, Petersburg St. Automatic call number is installed for such crowded objects. 10 units of fire and special techniques went on the alarm by the 3rd call number.

The nearest fire department was located in 800 meters from the building. By the arrival there was ascertained that there were being held works with fire on waterproofing the floor surface by the ruberoid at the entrance from the street up to the second floor. During the works with fire, there was committed an open fire on 2 sq. meter area. The fire had been liquidated by an extinguisher until firefighters came. Nevertheless, the smoke was being sucked into the room. “”SIGNAL-20P” fire alarm system worked and the signal was received by round-the-clock security. A speakerphone for fire alarm was used. Only operating personnel was in the building; all the people in an organized way went out of the building through the emergency exits. No injuries.

Arrived firefighters inspected the building facade for possible sources of fire and for preventive measures poured water to the facade.
