On November 14, 2016, in Menzelinsk District on the river Menzelia, EMERCOM rescuers took out dead bodies of two men, which fell down through the ice on November 13 and died when fishing. Both of them were citizens if the city of Menzelinsk born in 1938 and 1987.

There was held financial support of families with many children of employees and workers, who raise four or more children in the Headquarters of EMERCOM of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan and its subordinate department. At the direction of the head of EMERCOM of Russia, Vladimir Puchkov, each of them got 100,000 rubles. Total of 31 families got supported in Tatarstan. There are more than 1,200 families with many children in the system of EMERCOM of Russia.

Including garbage extinguishing – 7, false alarms – 8, short circuit of wiring without burning – 3, meal burning – 2, cooperation with other services – 10. Firefighters of the republic eliminated 9 fires, including residential sector – 2, outhouses – 3, vehicles – 1.

Fire departments of Federal Fire Service of Headquarters of EMERCOM of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan went on alert 47 times. Including garbage extinguishing – 2, false alarms – 20, short circuit of wiring without burning – 4, meal burning – 1, cooperation with other services – 10. Firefighters of the republic eliminated 4 fires, including residential sector – 1, outhouses – 1, garden houses – 1.

Attention and caution are main principals of behavior, which should be kept during sleet. When you walk on slippery street, do not hurry, avoid sudden movements, always watch your step; if you need to look around, you should not do it on the move, it is better to stop. Legs should be slightly relaxed and bent at the knees, at the same time, body should be lean forward a bit. It is dangerously to habitually keep hand in pockets during sleet: when you fall down you will hardly have time to get them out and take hold of something. Old people should take a cane with rubber heelpiece.

Firefighters of the republic eliminated 5 fires, including residential sector – 2.

Firefighters of the second squad extinguished a conditional fire on the territory of Tikhonov trade park of “Lmetyevskneft”. According to tactical idea of the drill, as a result of violation of fire safety rules during works with fire, there was an explosion of steam mixture in steel tank with the volume of 5 cubic meters. The drill involved 54 people and 9 items of special technique.

At 1.45 P.M. on November 9, there was received message about found inverted boat at the mouth of the river Prost on the area of old city beach. The boats host is a Chistopol citizen born in 1956, who went out for fishing. Searching was in process until night time and had no result. It was resumed on November 10 at 8 o’clock in the morning. Due to the coming period of freezing-over water objects are more dangerous for people’s life and health.

Young EMERCOM helpers can show themselves participating in the traditional children’s picture contest “I’ll Be Cautious on the Ice” among students of primary grades of secondary schools of municipal units of the Republic of Tatarstan, which is held by the department of people’s safety on water objects of the Headquarters of EMERCOM of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan and the Ministry of Education and Science. The works of young artists are received from November 1 till December 1.
