The Head of EMERCOM of Russia, Vladimir Puchkov, held a thematic video conference meeting in the situational hall of the National Crisis Management Center of EMERCOM Russia. It was dedicated to the issue of people’s safety provision during the celebrations of Old New Year and Epiphany, as well as during hard frost that will keep in several regions of the country.

Incidents as of January 12:

Fire departments of Federal Fire Service of Headquarters of EMERCOM of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan went on alert 49 times. Including garbage extinguishing – 3, false alarms – 12, short circuit of wiring without burning – 1, meal burning – 3, cooperation with other services – 16. Firefighters of the republic eliminated 10 fires, including residential sector – 2.

On January 11, voluntary firefighters of “Bolshaya Myosha” voluntary fire department extinguished a private house together with the local population in the village of Sosnovy Mys in Tyulyachi District through the window simultaneously protecting a neighbouring house. A bit later, “Balandysh” voluntary fire department and FD-134 arrived to the fire site. Firefighters released the threat to the neighbouring house. At 11.41 P.M. the open fire was eliminated. As a result of the fire, the house on the area of 28 sq. m burned down. Preliminary cause of the fire is the violation of electrical equipment’s technical use rules.

Including garbage extinguishing – 3, false alarms – 17, short circuit of wiring without burning – 1, meal burning – 1, cooperation with other services – 7. Firefighters of the republic eliminated 3 fires, including residential sector – 2, vehicles – 1.

Employees of the 8th squad of federal fire service during the whole New Year holidays went round resident houses and apartments of Zelenodolsk citizens reminding about fire safety rules. Special emphasize and the closest attention was to families with many children, the needy, those who because of various circumstances occurred in difficult life situation. Fires with people’s death often happen exactly in such families. In the past 2016 seven children died in fires in Tatarstan. Adults are guilty of every tragedy.

Including garbage extinguishing – 3, false alarms – 10, short circuit of wiring without burning – 2, meal burning – 2, cooperation with other services – 3, others – 1. Firefighters of the republic eliminated 7 fires, including residential sector – 4, outhouses – 2, vehicles – 1.

Today, tactic drills on alerting to actions as intended in peacetime and wartime have begun for employees of the Headquarters of EMERCOM of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan and EMERCOM of the Republic of Tatarstan, as well as for territorial departments and subordinated institutions. The main aim of the drills is increasing the training level of the staff of the Headquarters and the Ministry on switching to work in conditions of wartime. The drills’ program is intended for three days.

That was told at a briefing organized for the media at the Government House of the Republic of Tatarstan, by the Main State Inspector of the Republic of Tatarstan for fire supervision, Sergey Sergeev. Also, the briefing was attended by representatives from other republican ministries which were responsible for the organization of holiday events for Tatarstanians and the capital’s visitors.

Firefighters of the republic eliminated 8 fires, including residential sector – 2, outhouses – 1, various types of property – 3, vehicles – 2.

For today, within implementation of preventive work on fire prevention in settlements workers of the separate post on the protection of the village of Verkhny Timerlek of Chistopol squad of fire service of the Republic of Tatarstan covered all living places of socially unadapted citizen categories, who are on the zone of preventive service of this department. During talks, homeowners were explained elementary fire safety requirements at home, they were reminded about necessity of caution when using fire, inadmissibility of using faulty furnaces, household electric appliances in case of damaged wire insulation.
