They conquered the «Everest»: two Nizhnekamsk firefighters have passed the most difficult tests of the "Race of Heroes"!
"Race of Heroes" is an all-Russian project of an extreme race with obstacles over rough terrain. It was organized in 2013 and is held annually under the leadership of Ksenia Shoigu. Participation requires serious athletic training, so this start is very popular among professional athletes, fitness trainers and veterans of army special forces.
In August 2022, the race was held in Mendeleevsk. The running distance of about 8 kilometers contained more than 30 different obstacles. The final test was the conquest of the Everest high-altitude platform.
Firefighters of the SRU-47 detachment of the Federal Fire Service of the Nizhnekamsk branch, Alexander Potapov and Maxim Barsuchkov, overcame all the tests of the obstacle course and earned commemorative tokens of the "Race of Heroes".
