The death of three children since the beginning of the bathing season in the Republic of Tatarstan has caused serious concern in the Government of the Republic. The issue of considering additional measures to ensure the safety of citizens on the water bodies of the Republic of Tatarstan was considered today during an unscheduled meeting of the Republican Commission for the prevention and elimination of emergency situations and fire safety.
Despite the cool weather, 10 people died during the first month of the bathing season, 3 of them children, which causes some concern among the leadership of the republic. The main reason for the death of people on the water is bathing in places that are not equipped according to safety requirements. Unfortunately, the lack of an initiative to create official recreation places on reservoirs leads to tragic consequences.
The decisions of the joint meeting of the Security Council of the Republic of Tatarstan and the Coordination Meeting on Law Enforcement in the Republic of Tatarstan dated April 19, 2018 No. PR-95 set tasks to reduce the death of people on the water bodies of the Republic of Tatarstan.
The main task is to create conditions for safe recreation of citizens near water bodies, beaches, since bathing is one of the mass types of recreation of the population. And the main reason for the death of people on water bodies is bathing in unequipped places.
