City holiday in honor of the Day of Fire protection of Russia
Kazan Fire and Rescue garrison organized a grandiose city holiday in honor of the Day of Fire Protection of Russia in Victory Park today. An exhibition of various equipment, dozens of various children's contests, a festive concert, spectacular competitions in the combat deployment of firefighters, a field kitchen and a demonstration of protective equipment – all this turned a professional holiday into a mass folk festival for residents of the capital of the Republic of Tatarstan.
The Kazan garrison managed to hold large-scale events with the support of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in the Republic of Tatarstan and the city Executive Committee. The head of the Main Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan, Lieutenant General of the Internal Service Rafis Khabibullin, as well as the deputy head of the Kazan Executive Committee Iskander Giniyatullin congratulated the active firefighters and veterans of the fire protection.
The official part began with the laying of flowers by honored guests and veterans of the fire department to the Eternal Flame in memory of the Soviet soldiers who died in the Great Patriotic War.
After that, the honored guests examined samples of the most modern fire and rescue equipment, as well as rare retro cars, neatly placed on the site of Victory Park.
