Yuri Venediktov: spring water poses a lot of risks for boatmasters
JSC "Tatmedia" held a briefing on the topic "On measures to ensure safety on water bodies when using small vessels during navigation in the Republic of Tatarstan".
The speaker of the Ministry of Emergency Situations noted that today the water bodies of the Republic of Tatarstan are almost completely cleared of ice. Since Monday, April 25, the work of all 10 rescue posts has been fully completed. Navigational conditions are displayed on navigable reservoirs.
The peak of the flood has been passed, according to the UGMS, the rise of water occurs only on the Vyatka River.
Nevertheless, the situation on the water bodies is quite complicated. Over the past weekend, a rare ice drift was observed, everywhere the water carries planks, logs, remnants of vegetation, the water temperature on the water bodies of the republic is not much different from winter and is only 3-4 degrees. Accordingly, the risks of collision with dangerous objects with the threat of being overboard are great, and, unfortunately, they are justified.
