The exercises were held on the territory of "Nurlatneft" joint venture "Tatneft – Dobycha". On the territory of particularly dangerous objects of extraction and storage of petroleum products, even such a creative event as the repair of technological equipment is fraught with a great potential threat. Just one mistake in violating fire safety rules can cause a serious tragedy for both the facility's employees and residents of nearby settlements.
According to the plan, in the morning, during the repair of the breathing valve in the tank, with a volume of 2000 cubic meters, violations of fire safety rules were committed. As a result, there was an ignition of the vapor-air mixture, and then an explosion. The roof of the tank was torn off and thrown beyond the collapse. The fire spread over the entire area – 181 sq.m.
After the elimination of gorenje and complete cooling, the command for the final formation of personnel sounds. The manager conducts a detailed analysis, pointing out errors and shortcomings.
