During the New Year holidays, the largest number of fires, as well as dead and injured people, fell on the residential sector

This was announced today during a briefing held at the Government House of the Republic of Tatarstan, Deputy Chief State Inspector of the Republic of Tatarstan for Fire Supervision Maxim Truschin.
 The speaker of the Ministry of Emergency Situations began his speech with statistics. During the New Year holidays of 2022, 110 fires were registered in the republic (the same period last year - 138, -20.3%), in which 7 people were killed (the same period last year - 12, -41.7%), the death of children was not allowed (the same period last year - 0) and 6 people were injured (the same period last year - 8, -25%).
The main number of fires – 83 cases (75.5% of the total number of fires that occurred), as well as all 7 people killed and 3 injured in fires, fall on the residential sector.
The largest number of fires, dead and injured people in housing falls on:
- outbuildings on the territory of the household (baths, sheds, garages) - 39 fires (47% of the total number of fires in housing), 1 injured;
- private residential buildings – 26 fires (31.3%), 4 dead;
- apartment buildings - 17 fires (15.5%), 3 dead and 2 injured;
- garden houses, cottages, houses for cottages - 1 fire (1.2%).
Maxim Truschin also stressed that employees of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in the Republic of Tatarstan provided fire safety for 2724 New Year and Christmas festive events. Surveys of the fire-fighting condition of all the objects involved have been carried out.
In the period from January 1 to January 10, 2022, preventive groups visited 1,937 multi-apartment residential buildings, 37,079 private households.
Also, 1084 gatherings were held with a population covering more than 14 thousand people, more than 81 thousand citizens were instructed in fire safety measures.
