Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan Alexey Pesoshin signed Resolution No. 1194 of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan dated 08.12.2021 "On the establishment of a special fire protection regime in the territory of the Republic of Tatarstan", according to which a special fire protection regime was introduced on the territory of the Republic of Tatarstan from December 20, 2021 to January 9, 2022.

As a result of the decrease in air temperature, the process of forming the thickness of ice on the reservoirs of the republic has intensified. Reservoirs (lakes, ponds, small and large rivers) are covered with ice, there are gullies on large rivers in the channel part, the ice is heterogeneous (due to unstable weather and precipitation).
