On the prohibition of giving and receiving gifts
In connection with the upcoming New Year and Christmas holidays, there is a need to remind citizens, as well as persons holding state or municipal positions, positions of state and municipal service, as well as employees of individual state and municipal organizations, of compliance with the prohibition on giving and receiving gifts established by law.
Receiving gifts is a violation of anti-corruption legislation, creates conditions for a conflict of interest and entails liability provided for by the legislation of the Russian Federation.
Giving gifts to officials in connection with the performance of their official duties in accordance with the legislation may be qualified as a bribe, that is, a criminal offense.
