On November, 21 Crisis Management Center of the Headquarters of EMERCOM of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan received a consultation – warning about the intensity of weather phenomena from 18 o’clock of November 21 until 10 o’clock of November 22, 2014 from FGBU “Department for Hydrometeorology and Environmental Monitoring of the Republic of Tatarstan” with the following content: “Fog with the visibility less than 500 meters is expected at night and in the morning of November 22 in the city of Kazan”. Today, the final stage of the republican contest “The best assistant chief of guard of departments of federal fire service for the Republic of Tatarstan” has taken place in Kazan. The best 16 leaders for extinguishing fires from all fire departments of the republic arrived to compete in fair contest.

Last Thursday, there were held fire tactical trainings at Nizhnekamskaia HPP in Naberezhnye Chelny. According to the legend, there was a depressurization of an expansion tank of transformer block number 1 in the HPP. As a result, there was some oil spilling, short circuit and the spilled oil began burning.

Fire departments of Federal Fire Service of Headquarters of EMERCOM of Russia on the Republic of Tatarstan went on alert 39 times. Including burning garbage extinguishing – 7. Firefighters of the republic eliminated – 1 fires, 0 of them in the residential sector.

Causes are: violation of fire safety rules during electrical appliance use – 1.

Missions of fire departments on rescuing at the elimination of the consequences of traffic accidents – 15 times. 1 person was saved.

Missions of voluntary fire protection units on fire fighting – 0.

Missions of search and rescue units of EMERCOM of RT – 11 times. Including: unblocking – 2, traffic accident – 1, cooperation duty with GIMS – 1, preventive talk with fishermen – 2, others – 2, removing ring from finger – 1, duty at separate rescue post – 1, talk with children running on ice – 1.

EMERCOM of Russia organized an unusual video lesson for school students from all over Russia. It was the first time, when ordinary boys and girls took seats in chairs of conference room of main emergency department. A famous Russian writer, an author of many works for children, such as “Bad Advice” and “Boa’s Grandma”, Grigoriy Oster, was a guest of that lesson. The video communication in the Republic of Tatarstan was attended by cadet firefighters of Kazan school number 67.
