Fire departments of Federal Fire Service of Headquarters of EMERCOM of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan went on alert 54 times. Including burning garbage extinguishing – 5. Firefighters of the republic eliminated – 7 fires, 3 of them in the residential sector. 3 people were saved.
Causes are: wrong installation and defect in heating furnace and chimney – 3, arson – 1, violation of electrical equipment technical use rules – 1, violation of fire safety rules during furnace use – 2.

The traditional conclusive meeting of the staff of the 15th Squad of FFS was held in the new, fixed assembly hall of Naberezhnye Chelny Garrison of Fire Service. The conclusive meeting was attended by representatives of all departments of the squad. The leadership of the Headquarters of EMERCOM of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan was represented by deputy head of the Headquarters, head of the Supervision Department, colonel of inner service Sergei Sergeev.
The first step of the competitions for “The best team of the Headquarters of EMERCOM of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan on rescue operations during traffic accident liquidation” was held in Naberezhnye Chelny. The competitions among FGKU “15th Squad of FFS for RT” and FKU “4th Squad of FFS for RT (contract)” departments were held within one day on the basis of the 55th fire department. 11 teams arrived to demonstrate their skills. Each team was composed of 4 participants. The competitions program comprises theoretical and practical parts.

On January 28, 2015, there was received a report on poisoning of two people by domestic gas in the village of Staroe Surkino. According to the preliminary data, after switching the light the switcher of gas entry on the gas boiler failed to function. As a result of the reverse thrust two people died – a man born in 1956 and a woman born in 1960. The preliminary cause of death is poisoning by domestic gas.
A task force of Almetyevsk Garrison of Fire Service and an operational investigative group of the police are working at the scene. The circumstances are being ascertained.
