By 24:00 79 settlements in 10 municipal districts with the population of 20166 people remain without electricity. 76 brigades of JSC “Setevaia Company” composed of 152 people using 76 units of techniques are involved in holding rescue and recovery works. It includes 10 task forces of local garrisons of fire department. Also, the operational headquarter of interdepartmental cooperation of the Headquarters of EMERCOM of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan continues working round the clock.

GIBDD employees began passing vans in groups of 3-5 cars. EMERCOM of the Republic of Tatarstan deployed 4 mobile heating centers at the most dangerous areas of the highway M-7.

For the present, 84 settlements with the population amount of 20646 people and 43 socially significant objects remain without electricity.

Significant deteriorating weather conditions with strengthening wind and snowfall caused the convening a meeting of the Commission on Prevention and Liquidation of Emergency Situations and Fire Safety Provision of the Republic of Tatarstan chaired by the First Deputy Prime-Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan Aleksei Pesoshin.

As a result of adverse weather conditions (strong gusty wind, snowstorm) the power supply is interrupted in 100 settlements of 17 municipal districts (Kazan City, Agryzsky, Aznakaevsky, Alekseevsky, Alkeevsky, Aksubaevsky, Spassky, Chistopolsky, Baltasinsky, Yelabuzhsky, Nizhnekamsky, Vysokogorsky, Verkhneuslonsky, Kamsko-Ustyinsky, Nurlatsky, Kukmorsky, Mamadyshsky MD).

The population in the amount of 33220 people and 46 socially significant objects got into the cut-off zone.

This traffic jam occurred because of two traffic accidents. As of 18 o’clock the traffic on all federal and republican highways on the territory of Tatarstan is free.

At 14:45 on February 2 at the 822 km of the highway M-7 there were two traffic accidents in which ten cars were involved. As a result, a man born in 1981 and a woman born in 1971 took minor bruises and wounds.

As of 15:30 on February 2, as a result of the strong gusty wind and the snowstorm the power supply in 14 municipal districts of the republic is turned off. There are 58 settlements with 19379 inhabitants. Also, 31 socially significant objects do not have electricity. 1272 people, 605 units of techniques, including from EMERCOM 73 people and 11 units of techniques, also 76 recovery brigades are involved in stabilizing the situation on automobile roads and power supply recovery.

On January 2, 2015 at 13:30 (msk) Center of GIMS of the Republic of Tatarstan stopped the work of ice passage over the River Volga in Verkhneuslonsky Municipal District in the route Higher Uslon – Arakchino due to weather conditions (low visibility, snowdrifts) until a special order.

Meanwhile, 13 settlements which are inhabited by 3712 people in Zelenodolsky and Pestrechinsky Districts remain without electric power. Also, 17 socially significant objects in these districts have no electric supply. 551 units of snow-removal equipment work on main roads. 387 of them work on the roads of republican significance and 164 units on the roads of federal significance. 5 mobile and 13 movable heating centers from EMERCOM of RT are ready for use.
