The group of forces and means of RSChS that were involved in elimination of the fire is composed of 789 people and 137 units of techniques, including 3 helicopters and one firefighting train (including 418 people and 72 units of techniques from EMERCOM, including 2 helicopters).

As of 10:00 A.M., 789 people, 137 units of techniques (including 418 people and 72 units of techniques from EMERCOM) are involved in rescue and other emergency operations at the scene. There are enough forces and means to hold works on elimination of the accident for now.

Incidents as of March 11:

Fire departments of Federal Fire Service of Headquarters of EMERCOM of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan went on alert 62 times. Including burning garbage extinguishing – 4, false alarms – 24, short circuit of wiring without burning – 3, singed meal – 2, cooperation with other services – 6. Firefighters of the republic eliminated – 9 fires, 3 of them in residential sector.

Causes are: violation of fire safety rules during electrical equipment use – 1, violation of electrical equipment installation rules – 1, violation of fire safety rules during furnace use – 1, defect in vehicle systems, mechanisms and components – 1, arson – 1, ascertain – 2, careless handling of fire – 2.

Missions of fire departments on rescuing at the elimination of the consequences of traffic accidents – 12 times.

Missions of voluntary fire protection units on fire fighting – 1.

Missions of search and rescue units of EMERCOM of RT – 9 times. Including: door unblocking – 3, fire extinguishing – 4, preventive works – 1, trainings – 1.

The Chief of Volga Regional Center of EMERCOM of Russia Igor Panshin said that the fire was extinguished at 21:30 P.M. and the watering was being continued. There was an information that people were remaining under the ruins. The object had many unrepaired violations of fire safety requirements. The preliminary cause of the fire is electrotechnical. 

At 21:30 P.M. firefighters managed to eliminate the fire in “Admiral” Trade Center. At the moment, the constructions are being watered in order to eliminate little fireplaces. The group of forces and means composed of 305 people and 76 units of techniques, including 194 people and 42 units of techniques from EMERCOM are on the site of search and rescue operation as before.

The work of 11 psychologists, 5 of which from EMERCOM of Russia is organized at the site of the fire and in patient care institutions where victims were delivered. Psychologists provided 17 informational and psychological support, 2 individual psychological support.

At the present time, already three helicopters, nearly 300 people, more than 70 units of techniques, departmental firefighting train of “Iudino” railroad station have been involved in extinguishing the fire in “Admiral” Trade Center. Specialists of Rospotrebnadzor are monitoring the atmospheric air.

MI-8 helicopter of EMERCOM of Russia is working on the scene. Total of 265 people and 72 units of techniques, including 159 people and 40 units of techniques from EMERCOM are involved in rescue and other emergency operations. The Chief of VFC of EMERCOM of Russia, colonel general of inner service I. V. Panshin is responsible for the general management.

As of 14:30 P.M. the fire area in “Admiral” Trade Center is about 4000 sq. meters. The people were evacuated. The data on victims is being ascertained.
