On March 15 at 8:00 P.M., in connection with the weather conditions (positive air temperature) the ice passage through the Volga that connects Kazan City with Verkhneuslonsky District will be closed.

Incidents as of March 13:

Fire departments of Federal Fire Service of Headquarters of EMERCOM of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan went on alert 59 times. Including burning garbage extinguishing – 2, false alarms – 32, short circuit of wiring without burning – 0, singed meal – 0, cooperation with other services – 7, others – 1. Firefighters of the republic eliminated – 9 fires, 2 of them in residential sector. 1 person was saved.

Causes are: arson – 2, violation of fire safety rules during furnace use – 3, careless handling of fire – 2, violation of electrical equipment installation rules – 1, carelessness when smoking – 1.

Missions of fire departments on rescuing at the elimination of the consequences of traffic accidents – 8 times. 1 person was saved.

Missions of voluntary fire protection units on fire fighting – 2.

Missions of search and rescue units of EMERCOM of RT – 13 times. Including: door unblocking – 7, emergency situation liquidation – 4, others – 2.

On March 14 at 0:15 A.M. rescuers found and extracted from under the ruins another body of a man. Thus, the number of the dead at the fire in “Admiral” Trade Center amounted to 16 people. Rescuers continue to the round clock rescue operation.

Rescuers are continuing to remove ruins at the site of the burned down “Admiral” trade center. 915 people and 186 units of techniques (including 505 people and 92 units of techniques from EMERCOM) are involved in rescue and other emergency works. 3 search and rescue teams are working by shifts in the emergency zone.

On March 11, 2015, Deputy Chief of Fire and Rescue Service of FKU “CUKS HQ EMERCOM of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan”, lieutenant-colonel of inner service, Sergey Kostin, died during extinguishing the fire at “Admiral” Trade Center.

At 13:25 P.M. rescuers extracted the 15th dead body from under ruins at the site of rescue works of “Admiral” Trade Center. Its sex has not been identified yet. 915 people, 186 units of techniques (including 505 people and 92 units of techniques from EMERCOM) are involved in rescue works and other emergency works.

Inspectors of the 8th Squad of Federal Fire Service for the Republic of Tatarstan and Inspection Department for Zelenodolsk Municipal  District visited isolated settlements of Zelenodolsk District.

As of March 13 at 12:00 P.M., the number of the dead at the fire in “Admiral” Trade Center was amounted to 14 people. At 10:30 A.M., 11:09 A.M. and 11:34 A.M., rescuers extracted another three bodies – two men and a woman. The dead bodies were sent to the Bureau of Legal Medical Expertise.

Such results on the works on the elimination of the emergency situation were commented by the Head of Volga Regional Center of EMERCOM of Russia, Igor Panshin, this morning. 243 cubic meters of debris were taken out, last night.
