At 7:20 A.M., rescuers of the “Leader” Center of Extra Risk Rescue Operations of EMERCOM of Russia consisting of 9 people and 2 units of techniques arrived.

Incidents as of March 14:

Fire departments of Federal Fire Service of Headquarters of EMERCOM of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan went on alert 79 times. Including burning garbage extinguishing – 4, false alarms – 50, short circuit of wiring without burning – 0, singed meal – 0, cooperation with other services – 12, others – 13. Firefighters of the republic eliminated – 15 fires, 7 of them in residential sector. 1 person was saved.

Causes are: arson – 1, violation of fire safety rules during furnace use – 4, careless handling of fire – 2, violation of electrical equipment installation rules – 2, carelessness when smoking – 1, violation of fire safety rules during electrical equipment use – 2, wrong installation and defect in heating furnace and chimney – 1, spontaneous combustion of substances and materials – 1.

Missions of fire departments on rescuing at the elimination of the consequences of traffic accidents – 12 times.

Missions of voluntary fire protection units on fire fighting – 4.

Missions of search and rescue units of EMERCOM of RT – 9 times. Including: door unblocking – 2, traffic accident – 1, emergency situation liquidation – 5, others – 1.

1 036 people, 174 units of techniques (including 582 people and 71 units of techniques from EMERCOM) were involved in rescue and other emergency operations. 3 shift working was organized on the emergency situation territory. Total of 406 dump-trucks of the ruined constructions were removed (about 5 363 cubic meters). The ruins volume is 13.5 thousand cubic meters.

1 033 people, 173 units of techniques (including 579 people and 71 units of techniques from EMERCOM) were involved. The ruins volume is 13.5 thousand cubic meters. Total of 294 dump-trucks of the ruined constructions (about 4 092 cubic meters) were removed. Psychologists work with relatives of missing people.

As of 15:00 P.M., rescuers managed to extract the 17th dead body from under the ruins. Later, the body was passed to the Bureau of Legal Medical Expertise for identification.

On March 14, 2015 at 12:05 P.M., the 17th dead body was found during ruins removal. The work of rescuers is complicated due to the fact that the body was pressed by constructions. Also, cynology crews work at the site.

On March 15, 2015 at 10:00 A.M., civil funeral rites for the lieutenant colonel of inner service, Sergey A. Kostin, who died saving people at the fire in “Admiral” Trade Center will be held in the riding-hall of the Headquarters of EMERCOM of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan. The farewell to the dead will extend to 11:30 A.M., then he will be buried.

Public prayers to the memory of those who died at the fire in “Admiral” Trade Center have been held in religious places of Zelenodolsk Garrison of Fire Service, today. One of the dead is an EMERCOM employee. Veterans and acting employees of departments of the 8th Squad of Federal Fire Service for the Republic of Tatarstan came to pray for their colleague and others.

To date, more than 40 percent of the ruins were removed. Now, we are searching for the people at the places that were shown by witnesses.

Rescuers continue removing the ruins at the site of the burned down “Admiral” Trade Center at the moment. The ruins volume is 13.5 thousand sq. meters.
