Actual Data On the Ice Thickness On the Waters Of the Republic As Of December 17, 2015

Incidents as of December 16:

Fire departments of Federal Fire Service of Headquarters of EMERCOM of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan went on alert 66 times. Including burning garbage extinguishing – 2, false alarms – 24, short circuit of wiring without burning – 2,  singed meal – 1, cooperation with other services – 22. Firefighters of the republic eliminated – 6 fires, including   in residential sector, outhouses – 2.

A rescuer of Kazan Zonal Search and Rescue Squad No. 2 under EMERCOM of the Republic of Tatarstan, Dmitry Mamlin, remembers the most tragic accident of 2015, fire and further collapse of trade center “Admiral” in Kazan. That day on March 11, he and his duty shift arrived to the scene and together with his colleagues and firefighters immediately proceeded to rescue people who stuck under ruins of first collapses of the unfortunate market. For the courage and valor displayed by Dmitry Mamlin at the rescue operation during the fire in trade center “Admiral”, he was given a departmental award.

Inspectors of Supervisory Affairs Office of the Headquarters of EMERCOM of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan continue their work on examination of trade spots in cities and districts of the republic which realize and store pyrotechnics. Today, the subject of inspection was a specialized section which is situated in a big trade center of Volga District of Kazan, where festive salutes and fireworks are sold. The inspection was held by specialist of supervisory department for the city of Kazan of the Headquarters of EMERCOM of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan, Kamil Nurgaliev. Total of 42 objects are registered in the Republic of Tatarstan by inspectors of supervisory department.

Fire departments of Federal Fire Service of Headquarters of EMERCOM of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan went on alert 62 times. Including burning garbage extinguishing – 3, false alarms – 23, short circuit of wiring without burning – 2,  singed meal – 2, cooperation with other services – 23. Firefighters of the republic eliminated – 4 fires, including 3 in residential sector, outhouses – 1. 2 people were rescued.

Today, ceremony awards to prizewinners of the final stage of the Republican competition of compositions about professions “Ticket to the Future” was held under Kazan in scientific city Innopolis. 1 191 students of 7-10 grades of secondary schools of the Republic of Tatarstan participated in this competition.

Today, discussions about which mass cultural activities will be held for little Tatarstanians at New Year and Christmas celebrations and how their fire safety will be provided were held at a briefing which was organized for republican mass media in Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan. The briefing was attended by Main State Inspector of the Republic of Tatarstan for fire supervision, Sergey Sergeev. He told journalists that EMERCOM staff had already held and still holds supervisory and preventive activities directed to fire safety provision of objects where New Year and Christmas celebrations will be organized.

Deputy Minister for Civil Defense and Emergencies of Tatarstan, Ilham Nasibullin, noticed on a thin ice of lake Nizhny Kaban a man whose level of behavior adequacy raised serious doubts. Ilham Nasibullin called 112 and described the situation. He shouted the man that it was dangerous to be on the ice, and asked him to return to the lakeside by that very way, where the ice visually was firmer. The man did not take his advice and fell into the cold water in three or four meters from a bridge. Ilham Nasibullin had to take him out of the water. At that time emergency services arrived.

Incidents as of December 14:

Fire departments of Federal Fire Service of Headquarters of EMERCOM of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan went on alert 56 times. Including burning garbage extinguishing – 4, false alarms – 21, short circuit of wiring without burning – 1,  singed meal – 1, cooperation with other services – 9, others – 1. Firefighters of the republic eliminated – 12 fires, including 3 in residential sector, outhouses – 1, vehicles – 1, garden houses – 2. 1 person died, 3 people were rescued.

In the afternoon of December 13, a private house was burning in the village of Peschanye Kovali of Laishevsky District. After the examination of the situation, firefighters together with workers of Voluntary Fire Department (VFD) of the battery farm “Yubileynaya” immediately rang the fire and totally liquidated it in 20 minutes.
