Fire departments of Federal Fire Service of Headquarters of EMERCOM of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan went on alert 94 times. Including burning garbage extinguishing – 18, false alarms – 38, short circuit of wiring without burning – 1, burnt meal – 5, cooperation with other services – 7, others – 1. Firefighters of the republic eliminated – 13 fires, residential sector – 4, outhouses – 7.

On June 5, 2006, the Cabinet of Minister if the Republic of Tatarstan signed the decree No. 272 “About Establishment of the state institution of “Fire Safety of the Republic of Tatarstan”. That department was created in order to protect settlements, objects of economics from fires, and for the organization of fire preventive work with people.

Fire departments of Federal Fire Service of Headquarters of EMERCOM of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan went on alert 95 times. Including burning garbage extinguishing – 12, dry grass – 1, false alarms – 42, short circuit of wiring without burning – 3, burnt meal – 1, cooperation with other services – 16, others – 1. Firefighters of the republic eliminated – 10 fires, residential sector – 3, outhouses – 3, garden houses – 3, vehicles – 1.

‘The main number of the dead is registered since the navigation period, as well as since swimming season on the waters of the republic’, said the Main State Inspector of the Republic of Tatarstan for Small Vessels, Yuri Venediktov. ‘From 60 to 150 people drown, yearly.’

Within International Children Protection Day and the Year of Fire Service, employees of Kazan Fire and Rescue Garrison, press service of the Headquarters of EMERCOM of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan in cooperation with Tatarstanian Republican Department of VDPO organized a holiday for children in Fire and Rescue Department No. 3 of OFPS-7 for RT.

Fire departments of Federal Fire Service of Headquarters of EMERCOM of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan went on alert 73 times. Including burning garbage extinguishing – 19, dry grass – 1, false alarms – 36, short circuit of wiring without burning – 0, burnt meal – 2, cooperation with other services – 7. Firefighters of the republic eliminated – 6 fires, residential sector – 1, outhouses – 2, garden houses – 1, vehicles – 1, faulty vehicle systems and mechanisms – 1.

Within the Child Protection Day, there were held events directed to the teaching children basics of safe life at school camps of the republic. Open days tool places in fire and rescue departments, branches of Training and Education Center of Civil Defense of EMERCOM of Russia and the museum of fire service on which children learned not only the service of firefighters and rescuers, but also recollected rules of safe behavior in summer one more time.

The museum of Zelenodolsk Fire and Rescue Garrison received pupils of Special Professional College of Raifa No. 1 on the Child Protection Day. Excursions passed through the museum of fire service and the fire station’s territory. The children got acquainted with fire automatics, saw items from real fire scenes, learned fighting equipment , techniques of modern firefighters. In the end of the excursion, children asked questions.

Fire departments of Federal Fire Service of Headquarters of EMERCOM of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan went on alert 83 times. Including burning garbage extinguishing – 16, false alarms – 34, short circuit of wiring without burning – 1, burnt meal – 3, cooperation with other services – 16. Firefighters of the republic eliminated – 3 fires, residential sector – 1, outhouses – 1, garden houses – 1. 1 person was injured, 1 person was rescued.

Competitions of gas and smoke protection service (GDZS) units of the first squad of the Federal Fire Service for the Republic of Tatarstan have been held for three days in Nizhnekamsk on a training ground. The competitions were traditionally dedicated to the memory of firefighters Nail Mukhamadeev, Nail Kalimullin, Vezir Gurbanov, who died on May 28, 1989 during the elimination of fire at the pumping station of the gas plant “Nizhnekamskneftekhim”.
