According to the good years of tradition, in the first decade of September employees of the EMERCOM of RT Office for ZMD hold safety lessons in educational institutions of Zelenodolsky District. Lectures of life safety are attended by childrens of city and district educational institutions. Lectures suit not only students’ taste, but teachers of life safety, too — at the end of every event emergency workers share educational material and discuss innovative methods of promotion of safety.

EMERCOM workers also celebrated the Day of Knowledge. On the first autumn day, inspectors of supervisory activity, firefighters and GIMS inspectors of the republic along with their disciples went to school. Emergency department staff of Tatarstan held safety lessons with students of educational institutions, as a part of large-scale events of EMERCOM of Russia — All-Russian Open Lesson on Life Safety and the Month of Children’s Safety. 

Incidents for September 2:

Fire departments of Federal Fire Service of Headquarters of EMERCOM of Russia on the Republic of Tatarstan went on alert 56 times. Including burning garbage extinguishing – 5, dry grass extinguishing – 0. Firefighters of the republic eliminated – 5 fires, 2 of them in residential sector. 1 person was rescued.

Causes of the fires are following: defect in vehicle systems and mechanisms – 1, arson – 1, defect in design and manufacture of electrical equipment – 1, careless handling of fire during smoking – 1, ascertain – 1.

Missions of fire departments on rescuing at the elimination of the consequences of traffic accidents – 18 times. 3 persons were rescued.

Missions of voluntary fire protection units on fire fighting – 1.

Missions of search and rescue units of EMERCOM of RT – 6 times. Including: door unblocking – 1, traffic accident – 2, others – 3.

Today, on the first school day, there was a surprise for pupils of the school number 129. Normal lesson on life safety turned into a spectacular event. Rescuers of search and rescue team of the Office of Civil Protection and the Executive Committee of Kazan and FFS staff for Tatarstan came to visit students of the 4th grade. Safety lessons to pupils of educational institutions are held all over the country, as part of major events of EMERCOM of Russia —All-Russian Open Lesson on Life Safety and the Month of Children’s Safety.

The best firefighter of the Republic of Tatarstan was determined by the strict jury of the Headquarters of EMERCOM of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan on the basis of the traditional competition. It was attended by the best 22 representatives of the profession from all over the country. Professional skills competition was attended by experienced firefighters, as well as the newcomers. 

NGDU "Bavlyneft" JSC "Tatneft" received large-scale tactical fire exercises. Employees of the company and the fire department of FKU "2 OFPS GPS for RT (contract)" worked joint actions to extinguish the preliminary watering (UPS) №436. According to the plan of the exercise, as a result of violations of fire safety during hot work on the replacement of the respiratory valve there was occured an ignition of the steam mixture exiting the respiratory valves. 

Incidents for September 1:

Fire departments of Federal Fire Service of Headquarters of EMERCOM of Russia on the Republic of Tatarstan went on alert 51 times. Including burning garbage extinguishing – 1, dry grass extinguishing – 1. Firefighters of the republic eliminated – 6 fires, 4 of them in residential sector.

Causes of the fires are following: violation of fire safety rules during stove use – 1, careless handling of fire by children – 1, careless handling of fire – 1, arson – 1, violation of fire safety rules during electric equipment use – 2.

Missions of fire departments on rescuing at the elimination of the consequences of traffic accidents – 22 times. 0 persons were rescued.

Missions of voluntary fire protection units on fire fighting – 0.

Missions of search and rescue units of EMERCOM of RT – 17 times. Including: door unblocking – 2, traffic accident – 2, searching for a lost in forest (found by local residents) – 3, tree sawing – 1, holding open classes in school on "Basic Life" – 9.

On the Day of Knowledge, inspectors of supervisory activities department of Zelenodolsky District together with employees of 8th FPS squad for the Republic of Tatarstan and the Inspectorate for Small Vessels held "Safety Lesson" in the gymnasium №10 of Zelenodolsk. Appearance of people in the form in the classroom at once attracted the attention of pupils. According to teachers, as opposed to the normal lessons of life safety, lessons which are held by an employee in the form are more vividly remembered by the children. 

On the first day of the new school year, according to a tradition, and to two major events of EMERCOM of Russia — All-Russian Open Lesson on Life Safety and the Month of Children’s Safety, the staff of the Headquarters of EMERCOM of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan take part in the "Day of Knowledge" with the students of educational institutions and conduct lessons on life safety. Particular attention in conversations with children will be placed on fire safety and the use of a single emergency number "112". On September 1 in the school №150 of Volga District of Kazan smart students except orations of teachers received good wishes from firefighters, too.

"Prevention, rescue, HELP." Figuratively speaking, the activities of the Ministry of Emergency Situations is based on these "three pillars".  And the third block — help — is not only disaster relief, rehabilitation of territories and population. EMERCOM is on the duty of sending humanitarian aid to victims of natural disasters, acts of terrorism. At the time, EMERCOM of Tatarstan accompanied humanitarian aid to Turkey after the earthquake, to Afghanistan, the North Caucasus — Chechnya and Ingushetia, Yakutia and the Southern Federal District, where were serious floods.
