On the first day of the new school year, according to a tradition, and to two major events of EMERCOM of Russia — All-Russian Open Lesson on Life Safety and the Month of Children’s Safety, the staff of the Headquarters of EMERCOM of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan take part in the "Day of Knowledge" with the students of educational institutions and conduct lessons on life safety. Particular attention in conversations with children will be placed on fire safety and the use of a single emergency number "112". On September 1 in the school №150 of Volga District of Kazan smart students except orations of teachers received good wishes from firefighters, too.
Fire safety at home:
1. Learn with children, as well as write down on a sheet of paper your address and phone number. Put this sheet near the telephone.
2. Remind children that they cannot play with matches and lighters at home. This can cause a fire.
3. Show by your example that, when leaving the house or a room, turn off electrical appliances, especially irons, heaters, television, lamps, etc.
4. Explain that in a village or in the country without an adult children cannot be treated to the stove and open the oven door. A fallen ember can ignite the house.
5. Remind children that they cannot light fireworks, candles or sparklers in any case without an adult.
Gas stove:
1. If you smell gas, do not turn lights and appliances, do not light a match, and immediately notify an adult. Urgently ventilate the room.
2. If you smell gas, call gas service from your neighbors. Gas service number 04.
3. Leaving home, check whether the gas burners are closed.
Electrical appliances:
1. Do not use faulty electrical appliances.
2. Do not touch electrical appliances with wet hands.
3. Do not use electrical appliances in the bathroom.
4. Do not cover lamps and fixtures with a cloth or paper.
5. Do not leave iron and other appliances.
