At 10.00 P.M. on August 11, 2016, there was a fire in “Vityazevo” Children’s Health Camp in the village of Vityazevo of Krasnodar Kray. A two-story brick building was burnt down. At the moment of the fire, children of that building were at the outdoor disco. There are no dead and injured. Total of 690 children, including 560 ones from the Republic of Tatarstan, rest in the camp.

Fire departments of Federal Fire Service of Headquarters of EMERCOM of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan went on alert 116 times. Including burning garbage extinguishing – 28, false alarms – 50, stubble burning – 1, short circuit of wiring without burning – 2, burnt meal – 6, cooperation with other services – 15. Firefighters of the republic eliminated – 6 fires, residential sector – 6. 2 people were injured and rescued.

There was held a seminar with the participation of heads of rural settlements, heads of budgetary institutions and agricultural companies of Menzelinsk Municipal District in the village of Ayu of this district. One of the issues discussed within the seminar was connected with the provision of fire safety of settlements, namely with the necessity of providing settlements with outdoor fire water supply sources.

Including burning garbage extinguishing – 3, false alarms – 40, short circuit of wiring without burning – 1, burnt meal – 1, cooperation with other services – 15. Firefighters of the republic eliminated – 7 fires, residential sector – 6, various types of property – 1.

Within the Year of Fire Service in the system of EMERCOM of Russia, there was held the first regular conference of “Voluntary Fire Service of the Republic of Tatarstan” social organization in Kazan. During the conference, the organization’s work for 2011-2016 was concluded, and its leading staff was re-elected. By the unanimous vote, Alik Nizmutdinov was re-elected the Chairman of the organization.

Not to allow children’s death, as well as to check personnel’s preparedness to actions in case of fire – so were the main targets of the event, which passed in children’s health camp on the basis of “Vita” sanatorium. Actions of the object’s administration, personnel, and holidaymakers were worked out with an instruction and giving memos on fire safety requirements under the leadership of the Chief of supervisory affairs department together with the representative of district and city department of Tatarstanian Regional Department of All-Russian Voluntary Fire Service Association.

Fire departments of Federal Fire Service of Headquarters of EMERCOM of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan went on alert 102 times. Including burning garbage extinguishing – 8, false alarms – 57, stubble residue burning – 7, short circuit of wiring without burning – 3, burnt meal – 6, cooperation with other services – 15. Firefighters of the republic eliminated 1 fire the residential sector. 1 person was injured, 1 person was rescued.

EMERCOM employees held demonstration lessons for pupils of specialized shift of the Coordinating Council on the Issues of Combat Veterans of  Military and Patriotic Change “Aurora” of the Republic of Tatarstan in “Mechta” children’s health camp. Specialists of zonal search and rescue squad No. 2 demonstrated abilities of modern rescuers. Employees of the 53rf fire and rescue department of the 8th squad of Federal Fire Service for the Republic of Tatarstan told about fire technical arms of modern firefighters.

For more than a day, rescuers of Kazan search and rescue squad, the branch of Volga regional search and rescue squad of EMERCOM of Russia, as well as their colleagues from SAR of Civil Protection Department of the Executive Committee of Kazan, the city of Bor of Nizhny Novgorod Oblast and Saratov held wide-scale special tactics drill, working out search and rescue operations according to international rescue operations standards, approved by UN.
