According to the drill’s idea, as a result of an accident, a vessel with chlorine became depressurized on one of the JSC objects. The drill’s scenario intends that there was an emission (spill) of 2 tons of chlorine to the environment and the zone of chemical contamination appeared, spreading in the direction of residential buildings. There are conditional victims.

On the second day of All-Russian civil defense drill, the drill involved the capital of Tatarstan, as well. Several various objects of Kazan involved in the drill. Within All-Russian open lesson on civil defense, thematic lessons passed in all of the schools of the republic. Students of comprehensive schools were informed about the history of becoming, establishment and development of state civil defense, role of civil defense as an important compound of national security at the modern step, about further formation of safe life culture of the growing generation and its preparation to actions in various extreme situations.

Fire departments of Federal Fire Service of Headquarters of EMERCOM of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan went on alert 57 times. Including burning garbage extinguishing – 7, false alarms – 23, short circuit of wiring without burning – 1, burnt meal – 1, cooperation with other services – 10, others – 1. Firefighters of the republic eliminated – 6 fires, residential sector – 2, outhouses – 1, vehicles – 1, garden houses – 1, various types of property – 1.

Today, the annual All-Russian civil defense drill has been launched in the Russian Federation. The drill will pass in three stages within 4 days. It will be held with federal executive power bodies, executive power bodies of the Russian Federation’s subjects, local governments and organization on the theme “Organization of executing activities on civil defense in the conditions of environmental and manmade wide-scale emergencies occasion on the Russian Federation territory”.

October 4 is the Civil Defense Day of Russian Federation.
