Incidents as of December 20:

Fire departments of Federal Fire Service of Headquarters of EMERCOM of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan went on alert 64 times. Including garbage extinguishing – 1, false alarms – 18, short circuit of wiring without burning – 0, meal burning – 3, cooperation with other services – 8. Firefighters of the republic eliminated 20 fires, including residential sector – 4, outhouses – 7, vehicles – 6, various types of property – 1, garden houses – 2. 1 person died.

At 7.12 P.M. on December 20, 2016, there was receiver report from a witness about fire in the Central Department Store in the city of Chistopol. During the fire there were 60 animals in the building on the second floor. By the time, the first duty guard arrived at 7.14 P.M., there was thick black smoke on the first floor, the fire’s area was 30 sq. m. At 2.58 A.M. on December 21, the fire was localized, at 4.34 A.M. the open burning was liquidated. The fire’s area was 3,000 sq. m. There are no dead or injured.

Before the professional holiday of Rescuer’s Day of Russian Federation and New Year, a festive concert was organized for employees of Naberezhnye Chelny Fire Service Garrison and their families. It took place in “Rodnik” cultural center. At the event, Deputy Chief of the 15 squad, Almaz Miftakhutdinov congratulated all attendants with the coming holidays.

Inspectors of state fire supervision held rain on shopping pavilions of Kazan in order to reveal facts of illegal selling of pyrotechnic products and other violations of fire safety during selling New Year decorations. As well, republican media representatives went to the raid together with EMERCOM employees. Trade lines on renewed pavilion of Vietnamese market were the object of inspection. 8 trade pavilions have already been inspected. For now, there have not found any lawbreakers concerning fire safety.

Including garbage extinguishing – 4, false alarms – 18, short circuit of wiring without burning – 5, meal burning – 2, cooperation with other services – 13. Firefighters of the republic eliminated 10 fires, including residential sector – 6, outhouses – 1, vehicles – 2, various types of property – 1.

Before winter school holiday, EMERCOM employees reminded children about fire safety rules at school and home once again, as well as about safe behavior on New Year celebrations. The lesson took place in the assembly hall of Kazan school No. 171 with students from the fifth and seventh grades.

Accordingly, to the plan of testing means of population alarm about the threat, or happening of an emergency situation, from December 20 to 22, 2016, there will be held the final test of launching speech alarm systems on the territory of the Republic of Tatarstan. In connection with the becoming scheduled training, EMERCOM of the Republic of Tatarstan asks citizens to stay calm and carefully listen to the alarm signal.

Carbon monoxide poisoning is one of the critical states of a person that leads to death. As a rule, it occurs as a result of malfunctioning heating stove in rural areas, when a person is located in a fire, in a closed car with the engine running.

GIMS employees held technical examination of another ice passage and gave a start for traffic on a new ice section on the river Volga. The Arakchino – Verkhny Uslon ice road has become the third officially opened ice passage this year. Traffic on other sections of Tatarstan rivers is strictly forbidden!

The solemn and at the same time festive Prenew Year event took place in the Center of GIMS of EMERCOM of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan. Twenty boys and girls became the winners of “Firefighter” statuette and diplomas of “I’ll Be Careful on the Ice!” republican children’s picture competition. The deserved awards and sweet gifts were given by the leadership of GIMS together with Father Frost and sponsors.
