Incidents as of January 1:

Fire departments of Federal Fire Service of Headquarters of EMERCOM of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan went on alert 45 times. Including garbage extinguishing – 3, false alarms – 16, short circuit of wiring without burning – 10, meal burning – 2, cooperation with other services – 6. Firefighters of the republic eliminated 11 fires, including residential sector – 9, outhouses – 1, vehicles – 1. 1 person died. 2 people were injured and rescued.

Incidents as of December 31:

Fire departments of Federal Fire Service of Headquarters of EMERCOM of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan went on alert 66 times. Including garbage extinguishing – 5, false alarms – 16, short circuit of wiring without burning – 2, meal burning – 4, cooperation with other services – 16. Firefighters of the republic eliminated 16 fires, including residential sector – 7, outhouses – 6, garden houses – 1, vehicles – 1. 1 person died.

Employees of the 8th squad of organized a hockey competition in Zelenodolsk District in one of rural settlements, which was dedicated to the Year of fire service. One of organizers of this eevent, Ranis Zakirov, works in the fire and rescue department No. 52. He is the one who made a proposal to conduct the competitions before Rescuer’s Day of Russia. The leadership of Zelenodolsk fire and rescue garrison supported young employees idea and helped to organize the event.

Including garbage extinguishing – 2, false alarms – 17, short circuit of wiring without burning – 4, meal burning – 3, cooperation with other services – 6. Firefighters of the republic eliminated 5 fires.

Albert Gayfutdinov, senior inspector of Supervisory Affairs and Preventive Work Department for Zelenodolsk Municipal District became the winner of a competition for the title of “The best employee of the office of supervisory affairs and preventive work of the Headquarters of EMERCOM of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan”, which is held within All-Russian “Courage Constellation” Festival. The winner’s diploma was given to the Zelenodolsk employee in Kazan at the solemn event dedicated to Rescuer’s Dat of Russia.

Traditionally the solemn event was organized on the territory of fire and rescue department No. 52 for the protection of Zelenodolsk Factory named after A.M. Gorky. Chief of the 8th squad of federal fire service for the Republic of Tatarstan, Zufar Khaliullin welcomed all attendants. Representatives of religious confessions and veterans of fire service of Zelenodolsk were the honorary guests of the event.

There was a meeting of the Commission on Emergencies Prevention and Liquidation and Fire Safety Provision of the Republic of Tatarstan under the chairmanship of Aleksey Pesoshin with the participation of the Prime-Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan, Ildar Khalikov, in the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan in the mode of video conference. On the eve of New Year celebrations there were discussed issues on provision of comprehensive safety of the population during holidays, as well as additional measures on provision of uninterrupted traffic in winter and stable operation of life support systems during negative meteorological conditions.

Good New Year spirit, surprises and a huge bag of joy and fun awaited children of employees of EMERCOM in Youth Theater on Bulak, today. The fairytale holiday was organized for the children by the leadership of the republican emergency department. Hospitable hostess of the celebration, Snegurochka, met the little guests.

This year, one square for launching New Year fireworks will operate in Kazan. It is equipped accordingly to all fire safety rules. It is located behind “Mega” mall at the crossroad of Adel Kutuy and Albert Kamaleev Streets. Employees of the Office of Civil Protection of Kazan Executive Committee made a trial launch of New Year firework in the presence of a fire crew and duty shift of rescuers. The territory was cleaned up and equipped with primary means of fire extinguishing.

The car park of FD-44 filled with a new fire truck. JSC “Nizhnekamskneftekhim” bought it for the fire and rescue department. The Chief of the first squad of federal fire service for the Republic of Tatarstan, Aleksey Shapovalov, thanked the company for giving the new fire truck.
