Employees of the Headquarters of EMERCOM of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan made a pleasant surprise for hundreds of citizens and their children, who visited Ice Town by “Ekiyet” Kazan puppet theater. The employees offered to taste hot porridge with stew and tea. In order to provide safety at mass gathering places during holiday weekends on the territory of Central and Volga Federal Counties, forces of EMERCOM of Russia deployed outdoor kitchens. Today, airmobile crew of specialized fire and rescue department No. 48 of the 7th squad of federal fire service for the Republic of Tatarstan arrived to aid citizens who wished to snack and warm up.

Including garbage extinguishing – 2, false alarms – 11, short circuit of wiring without burning – 1, meal burning – 1, cooperation with other services – 6. Firefighters of the republic eliminated 7 fires, including residential sector – 2.

Before the orthodox holiday of Christmas, the Headquarters of EMERCOM of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan planned and implements a complex of supervisory and preventive activities directed to fire safety provision at places of Christmas events. Christmas events on the territory of the Republic of Tatarstan are planned to be held at 242 objects of Russian Orthodox Church. Examinations were held at all of the involved religious facilities.

These celebratory days, inspectors of State Fire Supervision together with police employees continue raids over residential sector mass gathering places in order to identify violations of fire safety rules on pyrotechnic items use. With the aim of fire prevention mode keeping control, there were created preventive groups which consist of police employees and state fire supervision employees. Total of 99 groups were created (including 117 police employees and 107 fire supervision inspectors).

Today, employees of the Center of GIMS EMERCOM of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan held an examination of the condition of Arakchino – Verkhny Uslon ice passage and with the help of unmanned aerial vehicle monitored the situation on the ice cover of the Volga, as well as recommended the owner of the passage temporarily pause traffic due to visibility deterioration and strong snowstorm. Within the examination, EMERCOM employees checked documents: instruction register, duty acceptance register, ice measure register, etc. Also, they made a test measuring of the ice together with the passage chief, Ildar Nasyrov. Its thickness estimated 43-44 cm.

Fire departments of Federal Fire Service of Headquarters of EMERCOM of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan went on alert 31 times. Including garbage extinguishing – 3, false alarms – 8, short circuit of wiring without burning – 2, meal burning – 0, cooperation with other services – 10. Firefighters of the republic eliminated 6 fires, including residential sector – 2, various types of property – 2, vehicles – 2.

The main amount of fires occurs in residential sector on New Year holidays. In order to prevent against fires in residential fund and people’s death in them, there was organized preventive work for implementation of which 155 preventive groups were established. From December 31, 2016 to January 2, 2017, preventive groups held preventive work in the field of fire safety in 289 apartment buildings, in 2448 houses. Also, there were held 97 gatherings with the population cover of 1,347 people, 5,723 citizens were instructed on fire safety rules.

From 6 P.M. on January 3 until 6 P.M. on January 4, 2017, the minimal air temperature at night and maximal air temperature in the afternoon will estimate 13-15 degrees, with decreasing in the evening down to 18-20 degrees below zero on the territory of the Republic of Tatarstan.
