Fire departments of SFS of Russia EMERCOM on RT had departures on alarms 40 times. Firefighters of the Republic eliminated 6 fires: residential sector - 4 fires, unused buildings-1 fire, vehicles-1 fire. Unfortunately, 2 people were killed.

The festival "Light of the star of Bethlehem" in Zelenodolsk is held for the 21st time. This year, Metropolitan Feofan of Kazan and Tatarstan visited the festive event. Muslim community was represented by Imam-mukhtasib of a Zelenodolsk and Zelenodolsk area Abdelhamid hazrat Zinnatullin. The concert opened with a video prologue "Christmas of 1945" and a bell ringing.
