The Day of Remembrance and Sorrow gathered near the memorial stele employees of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergencies of the Russian Federation for the Republic of Tatarstan, the Ministry of Emergencies of the Republic of Tatarstan and fire veterans to honor the memory of firefighters, participants in the Great Patriotic War - Heroes of the Soviet Union, immortalized on the memorial stele, as well as all those who did not return from the battlefields in that Great War.

Today, the annual event dedicated to the Day of Remembrance and Sorrow was attended by employees of the Ministry of Emergencies of the Republic of Tatarstan  in Kazan, as well as medical personnel and patients of the Sh.S. Karatai Republican Rehabilitation Center of the Ministry of Emergencies of the Republic of Tatarstan.

Today, June 22, our country celebrates the Day of Remembrance and Sorrow. It was on this day that the government's appeal to the citizens of the Soviet Union about the attack of Nazi Germany was broadcast.

The memory of those killed during the Great Patriotic War was honored today in all units of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergencies of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan.

Incidents in the Republic of Tatarstan for June 21, 2021:

During the day in Tatarstan, fire departments left on alarm 83 times. Of these, for false calls - 43 times, for an accident - 5 times, for a short circuit without burning - 3 times, for burning food - 4 times, for interaction with other services - 11 times, for extinguishing dry grass - 3 times, for extinguishing garbage - 9 times, for extinguishing reeds - 1 time. Firefighters eliminated 20 fires, of which the residential sector - 5 fires, vehicles - 1 fire, other objects - 11 fires, warehouse buildings - 1 fire, fires in unexploited buildings (structures) - 2 fires. There are no dead and injured.

The foundations for raising children are laid even at preschool age, in this regard, employees of the state institution of the Republic of Tatarstan "Fire Protection of the Republic of Tatarstan" conduct fire-fighting classes in preschool institutions.

Since the beginning of summer, as part of the All-Russian action "Learn to swim," inspectors of the Chistopol Inspection Department of the GIMS tell children about the rules for safe behavior on the water and introduce them to rescue equipment.

Incidents for June 20, 2021:

Fire departments went on alarm - 76 times. Of these, to false calls - 32 times, to interact with other services - 3 times, to short circuit without burning - 2 times, to burning food - 4 times. Firefighters of the republic eliminated 27 fires, in the residential sector - 9 fires, in warehouse buildings and structures - 1 fire, at other facilities - 17 fires.

On June 19, 2021, the IRONSTAR 113 KAZAN 2021 TIMERMAN CUP will be held. The swimming stage will take place in the water area of the Kazanka River, from 06.30 to 14.30. During this period, the movement of small vessels in the swim area from the Kremlin Embankment to the Millennium Bridge will be closed.

Training to eliminate the consequences of an emergency is a rare phenomenon for the republic and the country as a whole, because it is not a rehearsal for extinguishing, but a real battle with fire. That's why they seem so spectacular and impressive, like scenes from a movie.

Airat Safin, General Director of PJSC Nizhnekamskneftekhim, was awarded the Medal of the EMERCOM of Russia "For the Commonwealth in the Name of Salvation" for his services in strengthening the commonwealth in the name of salvation, protecting the population and territories from natural and man-made emergencies, ensuring fire safety, and providing significant assistance to the EMERCOM of Russia in the implementation of its goals and objectives.
