The chiefs of sentries extinguished conditional fire on paper and on the racetracks

Today chiefs of divisions sentries of a federal fire service in Republic of Tatarstan didn’t have to incur a management of fire extinguishing and to go with fire sentry to the fire heat – they have stood on racetracks of training arena to show their physical readiness. Then instead of fire trunks they took ball pens, notebooks and showed theoretical knowledge in questions of tactical, technical and medical preparation.

Perfection of knowledge, skills of work with fire, rescue techniques and the equipment for successful fires extinguishing and organization of a wrecking, improving of necessary skills in extreme situations - were the purposes of the final professional skill competition of sentries chiefs of divisions of a federal fire service spent in Kazan.

The competition is spent alternate years, that’s why the chiefs had time to prepare. This year 21 chief of sentries competed for a rank of "the best" not only in professional, but also physical readiness.

The first exam was on racetracks of a training arena of the State fire service of the MES of the Russian Federation in RT where they handed over a hundred meter strip with obstacles and cross of 1 km. The majority of participants have worked in fire brigades of more than 10 years; therefore it was simple to them to connect fire hose to a branching and during run to connect among themselves two sleeves and a fire trunk. However in a high-speed mode on a hundred meter strip not all of them have reached the specification, which have made 27 sec., the age and physical readiness of participants has affected.

 Then the chiefs showed the ability in making a double loop. For today it is possible to tell that all fire republics can organize not only the direct duties during the emergency situation, but also professionally carry out rescuing and other urgent works in an emergency situation zone. Then the complex of power exercises waited for participants. The uniform participants of competition put on every day, so this stage the chiefs have done as quickly as possible.

After sports firemen have started the theoretical exam. It was necessary to answer 12 questions no more than for 15-20 minutes. Of course the preliminary theoretical preparation before competition is necessary to young chiefs. If on racetracks they advanced the older generation, in tactical questions professional experience helped skilled firemen. At competition they once again could be convinced of their knowledge.

- I have worked as the chief of sentry for 12 years. In the fire brigade we prepare for competition carefully, we pay a special attention to theoretical preparation, - Sergey Dorofeyev, the sentry chief of a fire brigade №28 has shared the secrets of success. - We take part in all sports actions. Well and experience in fire extinguishing comes in the course of time. The main thing on a fire - correctly to estimate conditions and to make such decision which could minimize a damage from the fire.

According to organizers of competition, skills of chiefs raises every year that affects not only operative arrival on a fire, but also reduction of time of struggle against fire.

- In case of  real fire rescuing people and success of fire extinguishing often depends on actions of the sentry chief , - the colonel of internal service Jury Venediktov, fulfilling duties of the head of operative reaction department, has noted,- he should not only to be able to work professionally, but also to organize work correctly.  

As a result by results of competition it was found out that the best sentries’ chiefs work in the group of the Federal fire service №1. The first place  Andrey Semashkin has taken – the chief of sentry of Fire department-47 of the group of federal fire service №1. His colleague from Fire department-91 of GFFS №1 the captain of internal service Jury Malafeyev has got the third place. The second result has shown Siren Khanipov the sentry chief of Fire department-14 GFFS №2 from a city of Almetyevsk.
