HOA Negligence Led to Spread of Fire in High-Rise Residential Building

28 August 2014, Thursday

Serviceable automatic fire protection systems and fire hydrants on the floors, which must be equipped with everything you need, play an important role in successful suppression of fire during a fire in high-rise buildings. However, not all leaders of homeowners associations conscientiously fulfill their obligations and monitor the serviceability of firefighting equipment.

So, on August 18 the negligence of HOA "Azino-1" employees led to a rapid increase of the fire are in an apartment on the 16th floor of the 19-storey residential building on Victory Ave., 184. Fire hydrants were on each floor of the "skyscraper", but their use to extinguish the fire was failed, because they were not fully supplied — there were no fire hoses, connecting half-nuts, valves for fire protection water supply, which undoubtedly contributed to the rapid spread of fire to residential premises. There are many negligent HOA managers in charge of high-rise buildings in the country.
