Rescuers and Medics of Kazan Ready for High-diving!

Today, emergency services of the city honed their skills on the waters of the river Kazanka opposite the Palace of Farmers. Such large-scale trainings became the first practical working before the meeting of Kazan with the first World Cup on a high-diving. The competitions will be held in the capital of Tatarstan from August 5 to 10.

Jumping into the water from a height was included for the first time into the program of the world championship on water sports at competitions in Barcelona in 2013. Men compete at the height of 27 meters, and women — 20 meters.

The special tactical exercise "Interagency cooperation when developing practical readiness to assist victims in the water" with the involvement of freelance rapid response group on the basis of multi-purpose cutter "Lider-12PM" will help employees of EMERCOM and the Ministry of Health of Tatarstan to work out the algorithm of actions if athletes get on the water.

In accordance with the agreement on cooperation between the Ministry of Emergency Situations and the Ministry of Health there was established an interdepartmental freelance group of rapid response on the basis of a multi-purpose cutter "Lider 12PM", which provides a daily around clock duty during the navigation season of 2014. In addition, "KS-701" motor boat for the basing divers of the search and rescue service is on duty at the competitions location.

Summarizing the trainings medics and rescuers again theoretically discussed every possible situation and the sequence of actions of each employee when they occur, so that attracted forces worked as a single whole during the competition.
