African Swine Fever Outbreak Was Liquidated in Zelenodolsky District: Teachings Were Hundred Percent Close to Real

Special tactical exercises were held In Zelenodolsky District with the constant readiness combined mobile antiepizootic unit on "Identification, localization and liquidation of African swine fever outbreak in a village" theme. This zone was not chosen randomly, because pig farms are concentrated here, so the exercise was attended by the local population, and the head of the nearby settlements.

According to the legend of the exercises, there happened massive death of pigs at one of the farmstead backyards in settlement Mizinova of Zelenodolsky District. All actions of the combined unit and features of maintenance in the epizootic outbreak were watched by Deputy Chief of Headquarters of MES of Russia in the Republic of Tatarstan, Andrei Orlov, as well as Deputy Chief of Headquarters of Veterinary of Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic, Andrei Nikitin, and Head of Executive Committee of Zelenodolsky District, Sergei Egorov.

African swine fever disease problem is important not only for Tatarstan, but also for the entire Russian Federation. From 2007 to the present day in Russia more than six hundred cases of this disease are registered. 31 cases of African swine fever were registered just this year in Russia.
