Combined Team of the Republic of Tatarstan on Fire-Applied Sports Won First Place in Volga Regional Center Championship in Saratov

An inauguration of Volga Regional Center Championship and VDPO Volga Federal District Championship on fire-applied sports took place on June 29 at "Locomotive" stadium on Saratov. Altogether 14 teams participated in the competition of Volga Regional Center of MES of Russia and the Republic of Kazakhstan. It was a competition of the strongest athletes, among whom were representatives of the fair sex from 13 to 18.

The competition traditionally included several stages: an obstacle course, scaling-ladder, combat deployment, double-event and fire relay. Girls competed only on the obstacle course and scaling-ladder speed climbing.

Deputy chief of Volga Regional Center of MES of Russia (on GPS), Major-General of internal service Andrei Kovtun, was the chief judge of the competition.

The Championship lasted altogether five days, and team places in the complex event arranged as follows: 1st honorable place was taken by the team of the Republic of Tatarstan beating its geographical neighbor – the team of the Republic of Bashkortostan, that ascended the second step of the podium. The third place went to the team of the Chuvash Republic.

From the Republic of Tatarstan the following athletes distinguished in the individual places:

- on the obstacle course among the senior group members Kamil Ibragimov won honorable 2nd place, while his teammate Abduhalikov Arthur took the third position;

- on scaling-ladder among elder group participants scored again Kamil Ibragimov, this time taking 1st place, Ilya Afanasyev deservedly got 2nd place.

We also would like to acknowledge the excellent work of our girls. Myakisheva Angelina took the third step on the podium of scaling-ladder speed climbing among elder group athletes, and Boykov Ksenia distinguished herself among adults, she won third place also in this discipline.
