Firefighters and rescuers switched to enhanced mode

Today, there was held a briefing at Ministry of RT. There was raised “About measures taken due to drought and fire situation” problem. Akhmetov Marat Gotovich - Deputy Prime Minister of RT - Minister of Agriculture and Food of RT, Musin Haris Gaynutdinovich - First Deputy Minister of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan and Sergeev Sergey Valentinovich - Deputy Chief of Headquarters of MES of Russia at RT - Head of supervisory management performed before the reporters in a videoconference mode.

Together with the local governments there is going a work on clearing settlements from dry grass and garbage, creating additional artificial sources of outdoor fire water (dams, reservoirs, etc.), availability of attracting water sprinkling units and other fire-fighting equipment. Squads for patrolling areas of human settlements in order to prevent from arsons and early detect fires have been created from among police, fire departments, DPO workers and volunteers.
