In Kazan, employees of the Russian EMERCOM took part in ensuring the security of the V "Russia—ASEAN" Summit
From June 17 to June 19, Kazan became the center of world—class diplomacy: the V "Russia-ASEAN" face-to-face summit was held in the capital of Tatarstan with the participation of the heads of state and government of 11 Southeast Asian countries.
On the eve of the international forum, employees of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations conducted preventive visits to the Kazan Expo International Exhibition Center, hotel facilities, transport infrastructure, and cultural and entertainment facilities.
For the duration of the summit, the forces and facilities of the Main Directorate of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations in Tatarstan were put on high alert. A permanent operational headquarters has been established. A large-scale grouping of forces and equipment from the Kazan Fire and Rescue Garrison and other operational services and agencies was involved in ensuring the safety of the events and participants.
