Divisions of the Nizhnekamsk branch of the UDP worked out actions to extinguish the spilled hexane
Unit of detachment of the Federal fire service - Nizhnekamsk branch of FGBU "Management of Contractual divisions FFS SFS RT" held a firefighting and tactical drills at the facility of the plant for the production of butadiene and hydrocarbons of PJSC "Nizhnekamskneftekhim".
According to the plan of the exercise, a pipeline rupture occurred on a draining overpass intended for the shipment of hydrocarbon raw materials to railway tanks. This led to the bottling of hexane with its subsequent ignition.
There was a threat of the fire moving to the neighboring tanks.
6 minutes after the fire was detected, the SRU-35 guard on duty arrived at the scene. SRU-33 firefighters were the next to arrive at the scene of the fire.
The fire was contained and then completely extinguished within 40 minutes.
