Recently, there have been more frequent cases of fires in residential buildings used to provide social services for the elderly or alcohol-dependent citizens. Often, these services are provided with gross violations of fire safety requirements, which leads to tragic consequences at these facilities.
So, on December 15, 2020, a fire occurred in the village of Ishbuldino in the Abzelilovsky district of the Republic of Bashkortostan in a one-story wooden residential building. As a result of the fire, 11 people were killed. On January 9, 2021, in the village of Borovsky, Tyumen region, a fire occurred in a private house, where 7 elderly people were killed. The victims were also residents of an illegal nursing home.
Similar fires at residential facilities used to carry out activities for the rehabilitation of elderly citizens in a stationary form previously occurred on April 8, 2020 in the city of Moscow (10 dead) and on May 10, 2020 in the Krasnogorsk City District of the Moscow Region (9 dead).
Main Department of EMERCOM of Russia on RT warns the residents of Tatarstan with the request to aid in the identification of legal entities, individual entrepreneurs and citizens, providing social services in residential facilities non-relevant registers.
