From 1995 to 2002, cynological calculations were repeatedly used in search and rescue operations on the territory of the Republic of Tatarstan.

In addition to the work related to the rapid response to accidents, the detachment was repeatedly involved in ensuring the safety of events of national and international significance. This includes the 2013 World Universiade Games and the 2015 World Aquatics Championships, the Confederations Cup and the FIFA World Cup held in Kazan, and much more.

Currently, the unit is armed with equipment for various purposes, which is successfully used in the work. In the staff of the Kazan detachment there are 11 trained rescue paratroopers, who have repeatedly conducted search and rescue operations and are ready to work with the aviation link of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia.

During the existence of the detachment, the rescuers of the KSRU conducted more than 2,500 search and rescue operations, including with the use of canine calculations, saved more than 350 human lives.
