Three cases of carbon monoxide poisoning occurred in Kazan in the last two days. In all cases, the preliminary cause of the accident was the lack of traction in the chimney of the gas water heater with the windows closed.
One of them occurred on December 15, 2020 at 23.30 in the apartment of the residential building no. 27 on Bondarenko street.
As a result of carbon monoxide poisoning, a woman born in 1989 and her son born in 2014 were injured. The victim with a diagnosis of moderate carbon monoxide poisoning was hospitalized in the city clinical hospital no. 7, and the boy was hospitalized in the DRKB of Kazan with a diagnosis of moderate carbon monoxide poisoning.
According to the Center for crisis management of EMERCOM of Russia on RT from the beginning of 2020 in Tatarstan, there were 29 cases of carbon monoxide poisoning, which affected 57 people (including 21 children) and 5 people were killed (including 1 child).
To eliminate the possibility of carbon monoxide escaping into the room, it is necessary to ensure the supply of fresh air to gas, solid fuel and liquid fuel heating devices - boilers, furnaces, etc.
